Still considering it. So far I've been lucky to have people willing to help, but I can't keep expecting that. For the next year or two, a bus should be fine. My main transport need to getting to class, and using the bus over the summer was unreasonable because its such a time sink and cramming a class into 4 weeks over summer means every minute counts. But the regular semester is much more forgiving.
