My friend worked in the control room of a large casino here in Vancouver and she said they got to decide who the winners are, if any. The bigger problem are the online casinos with apps, every commercial break on TV churning out ads for them, it’s very annoying. The government says 3.3% of people who gamble develop serious addiction issues, doesn’t seem that much but 3.3% too many.
