pedi has rapidly expanded before and will again. thats simply the nature of federated instances in my time here and I havent even been here as long as many others. (Spag, the Woketron 3000 (npub18u3…5k6y) post the chart please)
growth is good for the community. but i understand your concerns regarding safe havens and thats why we only federate with certain instances and only allow certain members on denpa.
theres quite a few instances we dont federate with for security and safety and drama reasons for example. same with denied membership.
we can do both. denpa would be mostly unaffected by new instances popping up unless we choose to federate with them.
we can and do suspend delivery of our notes to instances we deem unsafe or insecure.
