Admittedly aggravated here and won’t go on for TOO long — but people saying “Knots/BIP110 is just a small group of people and such a small group of people shouldn’t just get their way” are missing the fact that Core is a small group of people and got their way did they not? To be blunt, the bullshit they pulled in October and after yesterday, I think that pushed me over the edge to radically start supporting Monero.
I genuinely don’t think it is a “conspiracy” to say Bitcoin is captured. Why are Knots/BIP110 people getting shit on for wanting it to go back to how it was pre-October before those retards removed the op return limit and being anti-spam in general? Bitcoin should not operate like Ethereum and its strength is being money, it’s that simple. Node runners should not have to store ridiculous non-monetary data that trolls implement.
To dismiss the damage and, even worse, the potential damage to Bitcoin in the future by calling it FUD or by saying to Knots people “have fun staying poor!” or other cringe sayings is such a slap in the face to people that want Bitcoin to be what it was truly meant for. Maybe it was an IQ test after all because a lot of the people on the Core side seem genuinely retarded
