As a kid, 5 or 6, i was bursting with joy and energy, and i was often told 'you love yourself don't you', which in Irish culture really meant 'you're stupid, full of yourself, and generally awful'. So that part hid and didn't really come back out. The problem is, that part was the steering wheel. Anyway I'm 45 and out and perimenopausal and have no fucks and i'm putting that kid back where she belongs, in the driving seat, and yes, I do love myself actually, yep, i'm alrighto.
