Feeling blessed to live so closely with the original people of this territory!

I am always amazed by their strength, what they can physically do astounds me every time.

This is Juancho, a Kogui elder who comes down the mountain from time to time to earn some money to help buy things for his family.

He always comes with a huge smile and completes the work beyond what I thought was humanly possible.

To climb a palm tree like this in itself is a tough gig, but to then be able to hold yourself there whilst swinging the machete and cutting up to 25 palms is unreal.

I wish I could pay him in sats but I really don’t want to be the white man that thought he had something to save the indigenous with, they have been and continue to be just fine with how they have always lived. Us on the other hand have some things to looks at.
