There is another very interesting theory put forward by shocknet_justin (npub1xvt…64sa) that argues the conflict between “core” and “knots” is a psychological operation designed to get us to accept “covenants,” which would undermine the nature of Bitcoin as we know it.

I don’t rule out this possibility either.

If you look closely, the Core vs. knots conflict is just a few people against a few others; the rest remain silent, but:

- Core is clearly corrupt
- knots was an alternative

But:

- knots has built the bip-110 narrative on a fantasy

So:

- I doubt that after the spectacular failure that BIP-110 will be, knots will continue as such
