The Sandbox will fully compensate SAND holders affected by a recent bridge exploit. ~14.744M SAND (~$700k) was stolen Aug 21st from Base/BNB Chain contracts.
Legitimately held bridged SAND on Base/BNB before the attack will be reimbursed from the treasury on Ethereum mainnet. No new tokens will be minted. Compensation applications open in ~2 weeks.
Uncollateralized SAND minted during the exploit is isolated & cannot be bridged/redeemed. Affected bridge contracts will be permanently deactivated.
