I watch a home inspector YouTube channel who does new build inspections around Dallas and universally every house he inspects is already falling apart before it's even a few months old. I'm pretty sure most stuff made in the '50s and '60s were nowhere near that badly put together. (He also keeps finding paper plates with poop on them stashed away in weird spots that were left by the workers)
All the houses in my neighborhood were built in the mid '60s and have less problems than all these new build $500k mcansions he's having to inspect
