Why would #China need to “steal” #AI from the #US when it now publishes more AI research than the US, UK, and EU combined, filed 13x more AI patents in 2024, and has 3x more AI researchers? #DeepSeek built a competitive model for $5.6 million through innovation, not by stealing from the nerd reich ego-maniacs known for pillaging other people’s content with impunity, but because it’s better. #Anthropic is crying foul while sitting on a $1.5 billion copyright settlement for its own content heist, accusing others of distillation, which is an industry practice.
