I grew up on a fairly remote farm so they were definitely more common than they are down here in our coastal city – came across one on the road eating a deceased rabbit as I rounded a corner and I had to slam on the brakes while it took its sweet time taking off 😂 I was driving a German friend down to the farm and he was just so astonished and amazed at this magnificent bird!
