Musk is a likeable person, myself inclusive => I don't hate Elon Musk, he talks about many interesting topics, he is an interesting person.
Also, I find that when we like someone, we stop using common sense, or ignore reality or find some excuses.
Example, a parent and his or her child: "when his/her child is doing something consciously bad => not something small, but something big and harmful, because the child was in the past a good person, people and others will try to ignore the bad behavior".
The key here is "consciously", people can change their behavior.
What you’re saying, I also agree with, because it is factual, when others have his net worth, they can easily do more damage than what Elon Musk is doing.
