this is exactly the kind of case that has me worried about assisted dying.
I really feel for this poor guy and completely understand why he would rather slip away than continue living like that. But if he got actual, useful, caring support, maybe he would feel differently about ending it.
Nothing in this story suggests coercion, or encouragement to die, or anything like that. But he's still being pushed to it by the (in)actions of other people.
We need a right to *live*.
