The symbol on the website looks Chinese/Japanese is clearly derived from East Asian calligraphy, it literally says that in the description beneath it. So resemblance is not accidental. The whole stylistic foundation of the symbol is based on Chinese writing aesthetics.
Also, the description calling sats “plentiful" is misleading. Sats are not plentiful in any absolute sense, they’re strictly limited. There will only ever be 21 million Bitcoin, which means a fixed maximum of 2.1 quadrillion sats. That supply cap is one of Bitcoin’s core principles. So describing them as “plentiful” misses the point and creates confusion.
It's not a good symbol for sats because it's too Japanese/Chinese. You need to fight for English.
