Thanks for sharing! Friendly tip for your friend, build a higher staging platform for the hives. It keeps them away from the ground, mice, beetles, mites, and makes for less back-breaking work! Inspecting a hive at just below eye level is a much more rewarding experience. #protip being able to put your ear to a hive before you open it and hear their gentle buzz is incredible.
