So, I swear I have ASD radar... I kind of sense (in that Highlander sort of way) that whoever I'm dealing with is AS. And how do I interact with folks who are AS? Why, as if there's is nothing different about them! Monotone? No problem! No eye contact? Fine by me! Let's talk details (time permitting) about x, y and z! (My interaction with the veterinarian today.) And thank you so much for your excellent customer service! (What I say to my favorite Postmaster.) Seem a bit grumpy? Let me tell you a joke (my friend from the pow-wow). And apparently, not everyone treats them like that (from what my friend told me), and they find me refreshing and not judgey. Yay! Yes, I'm one of the chattier AS folks (MOST of the time) -- but I never take my AS friends' lack of chattiness or emotive responses personally. Why would I?
