IMPORTANT: BIP-110 activation reminder ⚒️
HardBlock stackers — apologies for the extra updates recently. It has been a busy few weeks in Bitcoin, and we want to make sure everyone is prepared for the upcoming BIP-110 activation window.
The activation is currently expected around 7–8 August, at or before block height 961,632.
The key takeaway: If you intend to move your bitcoin into self-custody before the activation window, consider doing so today so that your transaction is completed before any temporary maintenance period begins.
If you intend to leave your funds in your HardBlock account, please be patient while we monitor the activation event and any possible chain-split outcomes.
During the activation period, HardBlock may temporarily:
• Pause bitcoin deposits and withdrawals
• Pause the buying and selling of bitcoin
• Require additional confirmations when services resume
• Stop automatically crediting incoming transactions
Our website will likely be placed into maintenance mode during the activation period. This could last approximately 12–24 hours, but it may take longer if the outcome is not immediately clear.
We recommend avoiding unnecessary transactions close to the activation window and monitoring our maintenance page and X account for updates.
