I've made it no secrete Fade In has been a Godsend for me thanks to being distraction-free. But Scrivener might suit others better <em>because</em> of what I considered complexity! Everyone has different needs.</li><li>Recommend free starter tools, too! Trelby served me well for ages and I just outgrew it. LibreOffice serves me well for specific purposes. Notepad++ is where I write all my blogs thanks to Markdown support and there's a Markdown viewer plugin that makes it easy! My own <a href="https://bluestarcreations.net/tools/tools.html"; target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">RTF2BBCode</a> might help someone post fanfic! "Free" may not last them forever, but if it gets them started, it's worth it!</li><li>Speaking of fanfic, I think we need to understand that people generally consider some things "low art" or "not art." But you know what fanfic does? Lets people practice and get good in a fairly safe environment! Sure, they're short stories, but short stories are valid!</li>
