I think the moment he jumped the shark was the 2 hour dissertation about oil pipeline maps. That's when he started down the "deep dives" where he would play two or three words of a clip, comment for 5 minutes, two more words, comment for 5 more minutes, etc.
And the damn "OH! A laugh tell! Listen to it 40 times over and over again!"
