Just to be clear - it's not always nefarious.
Charities for good causes clearly nudge in order to try and convince you that donating time or money is a good idea.
It's annoying when it's done badly. When a nudge is done well, you have no idea it's even happened, and you've made the choice the nudgers wanted, while thinking it was your own idea all along.
