How NOT to read your Bible:

“You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself” Leviticus‬ ‭19‬:‭34‬ ‭

Conclusion: this means that strangers in our country should be treated as natives and given citizenship making deportation unbiblical.

I’ve heard this said many times. How about we finish that verse…

“You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.” Leviticus‬ ‭19‬:‭34‬ ‭

We were never strangers in the land of Egypt. These laws in the Old Testament were written specifically to Israel.

Principles can be found and applications can be made, but stop misusing Scripture for your agenda.

And this post has nothing to do with deportations or what I think about that.
