And I'm sure it didn't start nor ended with Biden administration. Thousands of people working on censorship legislation and lobbying governments to implement them. Insane.
"Following the second election of Donald Trump, funding for “counter-disinformation” programs was cut at the federal level.
The formerly federally-funded censorship professionals have turned to foreign governments, including the UK, to put pressure on American tech platforms.
At least a dozen individuals and organizations liked to the US government through funding, affiliations, or direct roles with the federal government were involved in shaping the UK’s Online Safety Act.
They include Nina Jankowicz, who briefly led the Biden Administration’s Disinformation Governance Board at DHS.
Other individuals and organizations include Renee Diresta, formerly of the DHS-created Election Integrity Partnership, the US-funded Atlantic Council, a former analyst at the US Defense Intelligence Agency, and a former employee of the Republican wing of the National Endowment for Democracy."
