the only nit I’ll pick here is that it isn’t new. My dad kept working through chemo because if he stopped he might lose his health coverage. He died less than a year after his diagnosis, having spent the last week of his life at work. That was ten years ago, but even before that he stayed working for a company that always passed him over for promotions and gave him shit raises simply because he needed the insurance for his insulin.
For-profit healthcare is itself a crime against humanity.
