This is working with the assumption that "soulmates" aren't just bullshit made up by Hollywood to sell movie tickets. There are people you will sync with quicker, better, more fully but all relationships require work because people are always changing and growing. At least, they should be changing and growing, learning about themselves, their romantic partners, their friends, the world around them. What makes relationships work is being able to change and grow together. That can mean with a romantic partner or just a friendship. Trying to chase some ideal of "the one meant for me" is why a lot of folks are ending up alone these days.
