The current political establishment has to accept you before you have a hope of getting elected. As such, you have to concede on certain things which would seem immoral, and adopt a policy that doesn't disrupt the consolidation of wealth, however left you may be. So they had no choice but to support genocide! 🤡
The critical flaw here is in the claim that "The current political establishment has to accept you before you have a hope of getting elected." If that's true, then the current political establishment are anti-democratic fascist slavers who must be (all of them) executed for treason. And once you do that, suddenly that claim stops being quite as true!
Fact is that if you must go against the people electing you, to get elected, then the election itself is a sham, and you're better off fighting from outside the system.
