A drowned rat, well...dessicated now... on top of the rainwater tank filter. We turned the tank off recently, and went back to town water, after I noticed our water smelt and tasted of ... yes, dead rat. Himself, whose sense of taste/smell has recently declined markedly, reckoned I was imagining it.
Whilst up on a ladder today, chopping tree branches, he saw the rat. The tank is full from recent rain, which will now have to be drained. Bugger.
Anyhoo: I'm vindicated! 🐀
