The reason I don't worry about fire is because if my house burns down, the other two seeds can recover everything. The likelihood of losing two seeds to fire in a single day is remote.
I just keep the descriptor backed up digitally. (Usb sticks, proton drive, etc). The descriptor doesn't give anyone signing authority without the seeds, but it does give me the ability to create new read-only accounts. That's why I like to keep it a little more accessible.
