It's under-appreciated how this is THE era of the autodidact.
80% of repairs are simple. Duct tape if it moves but shouldn't, lube if it doesn't but should.
10% of repairs are easily resolved after a little noodling.
5% of repairs I have no idea and can consult the Internet for both general and specific information.
3% of "repairs" require me to brush up on fundamentals and modify/replace/upgrade rather than repair.
2% of repairs are out of my league and I call a professional.
