4.) To me the most likely scenario is that the US expends more resources than it can sustain and Iran inflicts severe economic problems for Europe in particular. The US will be forced to stop, I'd say in a month. The question is can Iran's population survive and hold out that long and is there an X factor like Israel using nukes.
