NPoI is part of our broader research into mechanisms that can help systems evaluate and preserve evidence around intelligent processes.
Why does this matter?
Because future autonomous systems may need to demonstrate more than an outcome.
They may need to demonstrate:
- what information was considered,
- what checks were performed,
- what state influenced the decision,
- and what evidence remains afterwards.
Trust should not depend only on confidence.
Where possible, it should be supported by verifiable evidence.
