I remember the episodes of Double Fine Adventure talking about creating the sound track, where they were interviewing Peter McConnell in his studio. The walls were lined with all kinds of musical instruments I'd never heard of, and he'd occasionally pick one up and effortlessly play a little ditty.
I am not at all surprised that he plays the violin really well. :)
