BTC on layer 2 is just a privacy shitcoin. I'd rather use the original privacy-coin.
Money isn't worth a ton to me. The true value is in my relationships and in my ability to perform labor. Even if the bank never gives me my money back they would be ultimately just shooting themselves in the foot, because I'd still walk away with more than what I gave to them. That's why I am very unlikely to ever get a loan of any sort. I don't even like insurance. When you make a commitment to give up a portion of your income over a period of time, you are giving away a lot more than just money. You are giving up a piece of your soul. Now that's scary!
