It's been thoroughly discussed. Minds are made up. The big corporate mining cartel doesn't appear to be on board unless they start signaling when the signaling period kicks in in about 7 hours. Roughly 20% of network nodes are going to end up forking off on their own chain by rejecting blocks with data transactions. That chain will inherit the current difficulty but with a fraction of the hashrate so it will only be producing a few blocks a day until the difficulty adjustment. It's going to be interesting to watch.
