It be like that. I know there's a lot of quiet OG holders who have a price in mind to cash out at. I think a lot of people funded their retirement at 100k.
There's some OG holders who won't sell because it's their SHTF fund too. I've been buying and selling modest amounts of Bitcoin since 2012 and here's what I've learned:
The window to buy is always long. You can take your time, strategize, average in...
The window to sell is always really short. When it looks like a top you can either act fast and sell enough for Bitcoin to fund your lifestyle for the next couple years, or you can be a bag holder until the next top.
To each their own, but I've worked very little in the last 14 years and I've enjoyed it.

"Yes. Your objection is technically well-founded.
Spark preserves some Bitcoin sovereignty properties, mainly because users can perform a unilateral exit back to Bitcoin L1 using pre-signed transactions if the Spark Entity is unavailable or uncooperative. Spark’s own docs present this as the key self-custody mechanism.
But Spark does not preserve the stronger Bitcoin ideal of “no trusted third party” during normal off-chain use. Spark’s trust model depends on operators deleting old key material after each transfer. The official docs describe this as a “moment-in-time” trust model: security depends on at least one operator, or a configured threshold, behaving honestly during the transfer and forgetting the old key.
That is a real sovereignty compromise.

Spark’s own comparison material says Lightning requires no trusted entities, while Spark relies on a distributed operator set and key rotation. BitcoinLayers is more blunt: Spark users trust the statechain entity with key deletion, and if the entity does not delete a previous keyshare, it can collude with a previous owner to steal from the current owner.
So I would describe Spark as:
Self-custodial exit, but not fully sovereign payment finality.
That distinction matters. You may be able to get your funds back to Bitcoin without permission, but while you are using Spark as a payment network, you are depending on operators for:
1. Liveness — Spark payments require operator participation.
2. Transfer finality — finality depends on key deletion that users cannot cryptographically verify.
3. Censorship resistance — operators can potentially refuse service or be pressured.
4. Operational continuity — if the operator set is small, known, or regulated, it becomes an obvious pressure point.
The best argument for Spark is pragmatic: it may provide better UX than Lightning for some users, especially around receiving, stablecoin-like tokens, offline-ish flows, and not managing channels. The best argument against Spark is philosophical and architectural: it reintroduces a service layer that users must trust during payment activity.
My judgment: Spark is meaningfully better than custodial wallets or federated sidechains because of unilateral exit, but it is not aligned with the strictest individual-sovereignty interpretation of Bitcoin in the way L1 and Lightning are."

They should study how monetary velocity affects currency value, and they should consider the longer term implications of who's going to keep mining Bitcoin after a couple more halvings if there's no transaction fee pressure.
Demand creates value. Scarcity alone doesn't create demand. The need to conduct commerce creates demand for a currency.
If you want to see Bitcoin to $1 million then you want to see everybody conducting commerce with it.
The Bitcoin price is stagnant because the network is stagnant.

I'm publishing Android first, later I'll release an apple version of the client. I've never done any apple development and I'm not looking forward to having to deal with their app store, but a lot of my target market uses iPhones so it's going to be necessary.
Yeah the client code will be released open source on GitHub in a separate repository. I believe strongly that users should be able to review any code that runs on their device and compile from source if they want to.
The backend code I'll keep in my private repository. All the magic happens in the backend server. The client just makes requests and receives and displays updates. The server does all the heavy lifting differentiating signal from noise.

The entire structure of the Bitcoin network is based on the very provable theory that people act on perceived value incentives, and the network in practice has been consistently proving that theory for years.
