Gotta be honest, I just don't like Chris Nolan. Not the man. Not the artist.
I will give him Memento. I will grant that I greatly admire that work, & I do believe that *he* must have been pretty damn clever & creative to make that a functioning film.
I find however that his body of work as a whole is fundamentally conservative in outlook & messaging, & I am exhausted by the hype around his "greatness".
