No, no...I like that period! I was just hoping his latest work would be set in the future, and written in near-present time so that it might reflect latest tech advances in its projections. Since cryptonomicon was so far ahead of its time, I'd be super interested to read a similar book written 20 years later, so I can make some trades and get rich quick.
