I have had this thought since finding out that mining is not part of a node for plebs. My first thought was, "this is stupid". I shared my thoughts and got a lot of pushback saying how inconsequential the hash contributed would be. That no one solo mining as a node runner would find a block. And so on. My thought, who cares? I want to be able to mine with my gpu or cpu. Why am I gate-kept? It should be my choice how and what I chose to deploy to participate in the network. Yes, single pleb is inconsequential, you might get a lucky Chad here and there. But that is not the point. The point is the aggregated hash from each node runner having a voice and hash in the mining process. It never made sense to me why nodes do not just come with the option, a simple switch, that marks my active or denial of participation in the mining game.
