personally, them and xbox should probably ride out the current gen a few years more. I know they don't want to. They wanted to get back to 5ish year life cycle. But this gen has had issues beyond their control on the hardware side. That said the other real option would be to try a payment plan or say screw it and put games on pc. Then it's up to the gamer to deal with the hardware cost. TBH Xbox is almost there anyway...they barely support their hardware.
