I need to plan the best way to migrate my 7 years and 4 TB of data from MongoDB—it took months to convert it the first time!
I don't expect the final Postgres + TimescaleDB storage to actually be 1/14 the size of MongoDB's, even though that's what this limited test showed. But even if I can cut my storage requirements to 1/4 of what MongoDB is using now, that will save me thousands of dollars every year!
