W Social is perhaps the strangest thing to come out of Davos this year. They're balkanizing the social media landscape in Europe with this; VPNs make the DSA pointless if the US does not cooperate, funding for Fediverse projects in the EU has not changed, and the only thing going for this is that the DSA can turn this into a coerced social network like Weibo.
