Cool rundown! Good job taking on this challenge. And for training while you were sick. That might have been the most realistic preparation for dealing with a situation when things aren’t all going your way! I imagine that piece of gear at the right side of the frame was just as important as what you carried on the day lol. Great content. It’s part of what has inspired me to return to training after a 5 year layoff. Yes it means I rarely make it home before 8pm weekdays, but I refuse to let my fiat commitments stand in the way of daily PT any more. All of a guy’s focus on preparedness won’t mean jack if he’s too gassed to go on. This year’s hunting season should be much easier than last. Oh to be in my 30’s again. And living in a jurisdiction where my choice of rifle wasn’t limited. Me and my buddy got to participate in a tactical training shoot with some LE and SF folks when we were in Texas on business some years back. The only time I’ve been able to use an AR for the day. It took half a day to get the grin off my face. But I’ve been fairly budget limited these years anyway. I’ve had to be content with a really nice deer rifle. We actually outshot many of the guys there on the pistol drills. It’s cool being surrounded by people that make a living moving, shooting and communicating.
