Regular people can use Linux, too. My whole family uses computers with Linux. I'm typing this from a laptop that has Linux on. It is a good alternative to know about, especially because it can run on older computers that would not run the current version of Windows.
That said, a lot of programmers do use Linux, too. I am trying to become better at writing computer code.
