We did some touristy things today and struck a random conversation with an elderly couple from North Carolina.
They heard us speaking Swiss-German and asked where we鈥檙e from. Fast forward, we got around to talking about travel, and how we went to Japan earlier this year.
The elderly woman made this disgusted noise I can鈥檛 describe and said she鈥檒l never go there because her grandfather died in Pearl Harbour.
I guess some people don鈥檛 grow out of their hatred of an entire people who most likely never had a hand in killing her Grandpa.
