they're talking about how we can replace "that drives me insane/crazy/nuts" with "that bothers me" and, okay. I get it. I do, but as someone with mental illness my entire life... no. I don't want to. if I say "that drives me insane" I mean that it's triggering a maladaptive mental health response, not that it's mildly rubbing me the wrong way. if I say I'm bothered, it's a different thing.
