My mother called me this morning saying my cousin lost his whole thumb in a work accident and that he was in the hospital over night needing surgery to reattach his thumb. I tried reaching out to my cousin but he didn't answer so I got ahold of my uncle. He said my cousin just got a deep cut on this thumb and needed just six stitches. I don't know how my mother came up with the story of an amputation and overnight hospital stay.
