This is demonstrably false.

1. The first Christians were Jews. Jesus was Jewish. The apostles were Jewish. Paul was Jewish. The earliest Church was overwhelmingly Jewish.

2. Jews for Jesus exists today. Its ministry is specifically built around Jews who believe that Jesus — Yeshua — is the Messiah. I worked there myself as a contractor.

3. My dear friend Jan Naftulin was Jewish and a strong Christian. We met through Jews for Jesus and attended the same church in San Francisco for many years.

4. Israel has Christian citizens, including Arab Israelis, and Christians serve in the IDF.

5. There are also Jewish Israelis who believe in Jesus, including members of Messianic Jewish congregations and Jews belonging to other Christian denominations.

6. This isn’t something peculiar to our generation. Richard Wurmbrand was born into a Jewish family, became a Christian and Lutheran pastor, preached Christ under Communist rule in Romania, and suffered terribly for his faith. Felix Mendelssohn was born into one of Europe’s most famous Jewish families and was baptized as a Christian.

And then there is Paul himself. In Romans 11, Paul doesn’t teach Gentile Christians to despise Jews. He warns Gentile believers not to boast over the branches. Gentiles are the wild olive branches grafted into the tree, and Paul explicitly says that God is able to graft the natural branches in again if they do not persist in unbelief.

So no, “everything is Jews trying to get you to hate Jesus Christ” isn’t defensible as a statement about Jews. In every generation there have been Jews who have confessed Jesus as Messiah, followed Him, preached Him, and sometimes suffered and died for that faith.

Criticize an ideology, an organization, a government, a theology, or an individual when criticism is warranted. But assigning a single hostile motive to “Jews” as a people is both factually wrong and, in my view, profoundly contrary to the very New Testament you’re invoking.
