Eh... AI is a bubble and "the elites" are following the same incentives as business leaders do in any other bubble. Keep shipping "product" and ignoring the unsustainability of it until it's too late.
I mean, it's not like they're not getting the same "slop" we are. I doubt that Sam Altman's got a secret bunker with the "Ex Machina" fembot or anything... He's maybe just got slightly better slop.
