At work it’s basically impossible, so I’m challenging myself on personal projects. I read an article recently about avoiding frameworks and abstractions and work on a lower level for that and it does feel different. I was always a polyglot dev so it feels refreshing to forego Ruby and JS and code some Go or Rust for a while. I’ve been doing this for a long time though (30 years altogether) so I’m both jaded and opinionated about many, many things.
