After some troubleshooting, turns out that when your cmos battery dies, Start9 (nprofile…djec) stops booting as your computer may wipe its boot sequence due to having an out-of sync-clock, which StartOS needs. May be a computer (Dell OptiPlex) issue and not S9, but was quite confusing to figure this out nonetheless.
