I couldn't wait so switched my Hister installation over to track :master instead of :latest and it's ... it's beatiful!
I implemented the !toot alias and now I have actual great search capabilities of what I've seen once on #Mastodon!
(Yes I run ElasticSearch on my personal Mastodon instance and no that really didn't help much ...)
